Celebrating Excellence: A Night of Preservation and Partnership
We were honored and humbled to attend the 2025 Louisiana Landmarks Society Awards of Excellence in Preservation ceremony, a truly special night dedicated to celebrating the remarkable work being done to safeguard New Orleans’ unique architectural heritage.
For us at JLV Construction, it was particularly meaningful to see, not one, but two of our recent projects, 1212 Magazine Street and 3301 Chippewa Street, recognized with this prestigious award. As a company dedicated to historical restoration and preservation, these projects are more than just buildings; they are a testament to our commitment to the city’s rich history and a reflection of the incredible collaborative spirit that makes preservation possible in New Orleans.
1212 Magazine Street, a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, was a meticulous restoration project that brought a historic building back to its former glory. The vision and expertise of the architectural team at Cicada were essential in this process, and we are grateful for their trust and partnership.

Meanwhile, the project at 3301 Chippewa was a gut renovation and restoration that breathed new life into a beloved historic home. Working with the creative minds at Adamick Architecture, we were able to honor the building’s past while creating a functional, beautiful space for modern living. Their innovative approach and dedication to historic integrity were a constant source of inspiration. This building is actually Adamick Architecture’s home office. So, its means the world to us, that they asked to be their builder for such a meaningful project.

The Louisiana Landmarks Society Awards are a reminder that historic preservation is a team effort. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the architects, designers, and consultants we had the privilege of working with on these projects. Your vision and commitment to excellence are what make New Orleans the special place it is.
To the Louisiana Landmarks Society, thank you for your tireless work in advocacy and education, and for recognizing the hard work of so many dedicated individuals and businesses. It was a privilege to be in a room full of people who share our passion for preserving the soul of our city, one building at a time.
Also, one more time, we would like to think Cicada and Adamick Architecture for trusting us with these prestigious projects. We are humbled and cannot wait to break ground with them again.
